Hill-Wood also stressed that Arsenal cannot go head-to-head financially with the likes of Manchester City and that is why the club must take care of its money. He continued: “We don’t have the same oil wealth that [City’s owner] Sheikh Mansour has. He is prepared to pay astronomical figures for players; we cannot pay that sort of money, and we can’t compete.”

This constant failure of Arsenal trying to keep the star players at the club needs to be addressed and the lack of communication between the club and the fans is disappointing. Nasri, Fabregas, Van Persie… We can’t keep anyone. No trophies, players don’t stay, when players don’t stay, the club gets weak. What is wrong with football? Why has it become so, where players play...
